Description

Students incorporate art, design, woodworking, science, nature, and environmental studies to design and create projects using woodworking tools and wood in its natural forms, such as branches, logs, and vines. Themes include furniture and object design, the science and technology of wood, and the function of design in the natural environment. Depending on residency length, finished projects include everything from birdhouses and chairs to a larger structure like an arbor or gate.
