Darrah Carr Dance presented their ModErin blend of traditional Irish step and contemporary modern dance. The familiar form where the upper body is held stiffly and the intricate footwork is accented was contrasted with a more balletic free flowing style, all done to rousing Irish music and enthusiastically received by the children. They, in true Young Audiences fashion, were invited up on the stage to participate.

Featuring live music on the bodhrán and accordion, this spirited look at Irish dance and music presents the history, traditions, and costumes of this lively indigenous art form.
