This was one of the best residencies we have had in a long time. Alice was wonderful with the students. We were able to focus the topic of the song to a piece of our curriculum and in turn it will continue to enhance our curriculum in the future. I also thought it was the appropriate amount of time.
Program: Songwriting and Green Screen Music Videos
Description
In this interactive and energetic program, students brainstorm and contribute to “hit” songs that reinforce curriculum concepts. Students will learn the basics of songwriting and will write songs on topics ranging from core classroom learning to character education and SEL Students will also digitally record their song in a real studio setting.
After the song is recorded they will create music videos from their original songs using green screens and stop animation.
Each workshop or residency is individually designed to support classroom learning and meet the unique needs of students and teachers.
