Program: Diaspora West African Drum and Dance Traditions Workshop

The subject matter was age appropriate, interesting, and engaging both academically and physically.

I had 4 workshops scheduled for each of my classes. Some students asked permission to attend all four and they did! Jeannine and Kwasi connected with the students right away. Not only did they provided historical context to the dance workshop, but they also added cultural and emotional context. My students smiled, cheered and most of all learned. Jeannine provided extensions to the learning that I plan to build upon at a later date. It was an excellent workshop. Jeannine is a master dance educator and we are blessed to have her in our region.
